Vale do Lobo Golf Club
Rules & Procedures
-Golfers are expected to play within the spirit of the game and with consideration towards the safety and enjoyment of others – both on the golf courses, and in the surrounding areas.
-All players must check in at the Golf Reception and obtain their green fee ticket as well as rental tickets, when applicable. No client will be allowed to enter the courses without presenting the respective green fee/rental ticket to the starter/caddy master.
-Each player must have his own golf bag; players are not allowed to share Clubs during the round of golf.
-The maximum capacity of a golf buggy will be two players and two golf bags.
-All players are required to follow the regulations of the courses, with regard to etiquette and speed of play, which the Golf Reservations staff, Starters and Marshals are fully authorized to apply. Vale do Lobo Golf Club reserves the right to invite a player to leave the golf course, without any right to reimbursement, if the player does not follow the local rules or any instructions from a member of staff.
-All players must present official handicap certificate. The maximum handicaps allowed at our courses are: Ladies: 36 | Gentlemen: 28.
-Players are required to follow the regulations with regard to the dress code. It is essential that golfers wear golf shoes with soft spikes, as well as collared shirts and golf trousers or tailored shorts.
-Players’ guests, may be authorized by the Golf Reception to follow the players on the course, but when doing so, they must follow the same dress code as the player. Players’ guests are only allowed to join players on the 1st or 10th tee.
-All players should refrain from using mobile phones while on the courses or in the Clubhouse area.
-Flights are made up as 4-balls and therefore players booking less than a 4-ball must expect to be paired up with another group, whenever possible with players of similar handicap.
-Men will play from the yellow tees and ladies from the red tees. Players with handicap of 9 or less may play from the white tees with permission of the Starter.
-The Club reserves the right to restrict/ban the use of buggies in accordance with the weather conditions. Buggies must keep to the path (where applicable) and be driven well away from the greens, surrounds and teeing areas.
-In order to ensure all golfers enjoy a positive experience at our courses, we request all players to play a round in 4 hours and 30 minutes, or less. In order to achieve this, we ask all players to kindly remain no more than 1/2 hole behind the players in front at all the times. We will do all we can to keep play moving on the course and would be grateful for your help in keeping pace throughout your round.
-Pitch marks must be repaired, divots replaced and bunkers raked.
-Children under 12 are not allowed unless accompanied by an adult.
-Animals are not allowed on the golf course.
-Practicing anywhere on the golf course at any time is prohibited.
-The user/client is responsible for the rental material used during the practice or round of golf and accept the responsibility to pay for any damage or loss occurring during this period caused by him or an underage at his/her responsibility.
-Any player not respecting the above regulations or acting in a dangerous, aggressive or disruptive manner will be refused the access to the Golf course, practice area, Clubhouse or putting green, without any right to reimbursement.
Reservations
Personnel data collected during a reservation is needed to process the reservation, prepare invoices and send confirmation messages. This information is supplied to the Vale do Lobo Golf Club Golf and the player hereby gives his/her full consent to the Vale do Lobo companies - for the effects of the Data Protection General Regulation (RGPD)-, to collect and use such data in any way necessary so that the player can be inscribed and/or play in the golf courses, also hereby authorizing the Vale do Lobo companies to reveal and/or share such data with all the entities needed for such purposes.
The player hereby also gives his/her consent to the Vale do Lobo Companies to send him/her any inquiries concerning the experience lived by him/her in the Vale do Lobo Golf Courses.
When a User, either registered or not, makes a reservation through www.valedolobo.pt, he will receive a confirmation message with the reservations details to his supplied e-mail.
The Vale do Lobo Golf Club may have to change the tee time reserved due to maximization of the tee sheet or to accommodate a group reservation. On this situation the Vale do Lobo Golf Club will inform the user/client by email of this alteration with the tee time proposed.
Cancellation of reservations
-When making a reservation, the User agrees to abide by the policies in use at the Vale do Lobo Golf Club Golf.
-When cancelling an existing booking the user will comply with the cancellation policy in place for the Vale do Lobo Golf Club. The green fee refund will be done in full if the cancellation is made within the following deadlines.
Up to 12 Golfers/rounds - 48 hrs
Over 12 Golfers/rounds - 21 days
-The cancellations of existing booking must be made by email to golf@vdl.pt. The user needs to provide the following information:
-Booking name
-Date
-Time
-The Vale do Lobo Golf Club, is only responsible for the refund of the amounts paid for the green fees, not being responsible for any cancellation fees charged by third parties payment provides like PayPal, Stripe, visa, Master card or other.
-If the User/Client Fails to cancel the booking, within the deadlines the booking is confirmed and cannot be cancelled, altered or refunded.
-The Vale do Lobo Club reserves the right to temporarily close the course for such reasons as adverse weather conditions, maintenance, official tournaments, public and notorious events or other unforeseen circumstances. Under such circumstances, Vale do Lobo is not obliged to pay any indemnity. The Vale do Lobo Golf Club Director of Golf will take the decision of closure of the course.
-When the courses close due to adverse weather conditions, the Vale do Lobo Club will decide when is the best time to reopen the course and allow the players to play/ finish their round. On extreme situations when the course does not open on the same day, a rain voucher will be issued allowing the client to play the remaining holes on another day, subject to the course availability within 12 months.
